Maria + Derek were totally styling for their Montage Laguna Beach wedding. With the brilliance of Kathy + Susan from Bella Weddings + Events this wedding went off without a hitch. Good times for all!

The-Un trash the dress.

Josh and I are lucky enough to know these two beautiful people. Nicole and Jared are getting married this summer and between all of the planning Niocle ended up with an extra dress. So here we are at the “trash the dress” conversation. I had never photographed the ever-controversial trash the dress nor did I want to. I love dresses. I think they are pretty and they should stay that way. So I agreed on the grounds that as long as the dress looked pretty, and remained that way, I would shoot it. The pool belongs to Jared’s parents and they were kind enough to even heat it for them! This was probably one of the most fun shoots I have done in a long time and I love the images. We also photographed them earlier in the day for their engagement session that is also a part of this post. Congrats you two! We LOVE you!

rebekah + jeremy

We had the most beautiful day for Rebekah and Jeremy’s engagement shoot! I had the best time with them and I can not wait to shoot their wedding in October at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego! Enjoy.

The Guru

Robin Gruver is my Guru! She makes the prospect of becoming a parent almost not scary. She teaches a natural birthing class that is so informative you feel like you could deliver a baby without the doctor (although she does not advise doing so). She also teaches prenatal yoga at True Yoga and The Pump Station in Westlake Village. She made our whole pregnancy experience so full and so enjoyable that we can’t wait to have another! This shoot was born out of an idea for Robin’s new website. Luckily we know a lot of babies and so it was. And of course the only child crying in these photos on the bottom left side would be my son Weston. Ahh parenthood.

Melissa + Niall

Melissa and Niall got married at the Bel Air Bay Club. Niall is from Ireland. He speaks with a really cool accent. So does his whole family. By the end of the day I thought I was Irish too. Melissa's mom surprised the couple with a secret set of Irish Dancers. It brought the house down and was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time!-jb
